Many famous localities are reachable from the Versilia Hotel. A visit to some of these places will take just half day (Pisa, Lucca, Carrara), in other cases you will need one entire day (for example in Florence, in the Five Lands). Here is a list of the most interesting places to visit and their distance from the hotel.

• 20 Km – MASSA and its valleys that are to the heart of the north Apuan Alps. All the trekking, mountain bike and street bike lovers will find an unlimited playing field;
• 20 Km – PISA leaning Tower and Piazza dei Miracoli;
• 25 Km – LUCCA – ancient town rich with churches and monuments, completely surrounded by imposing walls where it is possible to walk on or go on a bike;
• 25 Km – CARRARA and its marble quarries where the famous “bianco statuario” is extracted and is used since the Roman times for the greatest sculpture masterpieces;
• 40 Km – CASTELNUOVO GARFAGNANA, heart of Garfagnana, the green Serchio Valley that is between the Apuan Alps on the west and the imposing Appennino-Tosco-Emiliano on the east, excellence land rich of natural treasures, culture and gastronomy;
• 35 Km – COLLODI, hometown of Pinocchio’s author, where you can visit the museum dedicated to the notorious puppet or the magnificent 18th century villa and its astonishing park owned by the Garzoni Counts;
• 30 Km – MONTEMARCELLO, FIASCHERINO, TELLARO and LERICI promontory;
• 55 Km – PORTOVENERE and THE FIVE LANDS;
• 95 Km – SAN GIMIGNANO and its 100 towers;
• 90 Km – FLORENCE and its arts treasures;
• 105 Km – ELBA ISLAND reachable in 30 minutes with a ferry from Piombino;
• 120 Km – CHIANTI region (Chiantishire);
• 140 Km – SIENA and its Palio.
